This series could have originated from the words of Alphonse de Lamartine who had written :

Inanimate objects, do you have a soul attached to our soul and the strength to love ...

Started somewhat by chance in 1994 on the occasion of photographs taken for the centenary of the discovery of the Venus de Brassempouy, fragment of an ivory statuette, dated 26,000 BC ...

At first surprised by the result, I decided to extend the experience on the occasion of visits to museographic institutions ! Then more simply to look at and transcend places or situations during trips in France or abroad and even random portraits of encounters.

These photographs come each time from manual printing with the enlarger, from a single black and white negative on silver paper without any subsequent retouching via digital software.
